In that case, it sounds as though you should be looking elsewhere for the
problem. It's a nuisance, I know, but the best thing you can do is
de-activate all patches, and then re-activate them one by one until you
find the one that is responsible.
You'd be surprised, but when I had to do this a few months ago, I found
patches that I didn't know I had, and some I didn't know what they did.
They went as well, and the result, a more stable system that boots faster.
Of course, two weeks ago when I had a crash during defragging (thus
destroying any chance of disksalv or QBTools helping) I had to do the same
again. You'd be surprised what you can do without :o) (esp. QBTools
defragging option).
